The bare metal restore capability - which is part of Backup Technology's agentless, multi-site backup and recovery solution - lets administrators quickly recover lost, damaged or corrupted data in a highly streamlined fashion to any system at any location without having to manually reinstall operating systems or configure hardware.

 

Bare Metal Restore allows administrators to restore complete systems on to different hardware, regardless of the manufacturer, including local data, user profiles, registry, system state, service packs databases & e-mails. Unlike other legacy, agent-based backup software, our Bare Metal Restore functionality is available to Backup Technology's customers at no additional cost.

 

When utilised in conjunction with Local Storage, a Bare Metal Restores of a complete server can be performed in 15 minutes, minimising disruption to your business.

 

In the event of a full disaster such as a fire or flood, Backup Technology are also able to transfer all files, in encrypted format, that are required on to a piece of portable storage. This can then be transported to your site or disaster recovery location where we can assist you to restore the data onto your new hardware at LAN speeds in conjunction with your Disaster Recovery plan.
