In a typical environment Backup Technology will install a single agentless Asigra Televaulting DS Client on either a dedicated device, existing server or workstation. The client software is then able to discover all servers, desktops, laptops, domains and remote sites within your network.

 

We then work with you to create all the necessary backup sets and schedules ensuring that all of your data, e-mail applications and databases are automatically protected around the clock. At this point the initial backup is also taken, either using your internet connection if you have less than 30GB of data, or a portable USB hard drive or disk array for larger data sizes.

 

From this point on at the scheduled times the client analyses the data, finds new and changed file blocks, eliminates duplicate files across all locations and further compresses the residue bytes to ensure the backup set is as compact as possible. The software then encrypts the data before transmitting it via your internet connection to our centralised N+1 Asigra vaults located in fully secure UK data centres.
